After their parents are severely injured and Illinois State officials try to separate them, Adam Worthy and his sister, Lake, run away to find their long-lost grandmother, the only family they have left. Meanwhile, in Northern Illinois, Verona Destin and her brother, Lincoln, embark on a mission to find a mysterious 'Moon Woman' to save their eccentric neighbor and friend, Asir Qureshi. Along the way, these four travelers eventually unite and even enlist the help of a troubled teenage runaway, Jack. Not only is the journey fraught with danger, but tensions are rising high within the newly formed group. Nevertheless, and against all odds, they eventually find and reach their destination(s). When they do, they begin training in the ways of an old religion that helps them conquer their fears, and doubts and leads them to find their true inner peace. Overcoming their obstacles, the children learn to tap into a buried and long-forgotten resource held within all human beings. Their hard work ultimately unlocks spectacular discoveries and hidden extraordinary powers. Now possessing the knowledge that creatures known as Jinn are set to return to earth to fulfill an ancient promise of worldwide domination, misery, and despair, and armed with their newly found amazing gifts, the children return home to save their loved ones and to save the world. But the Jinn army led by the sinister werewolf, Jinx foils the Keepers' plan. The children are forced to find strength they never thought they had and take control. They get up, regroup, and fight for their lives. This is not just a tale of extraordinary circumstances and how a group of young people work to overcome them. It's also a story about the everyday challenges young people face. This story is about the age-old belief that good is greater than evil. In this story, truly worthy people are rewarded with extraordinary gifts, and it tells all young people that they too can be powerful. But, most importantly, at the heart of it, this is a love story.
