Knowers and Lovers

In the second Rick Robichaud adventure, Rick, his wife, Zora, and their child, Bronwyn, find themselves in the eye of a storm of events that plays out in the forests, fields and sea coasts of Digby County, Nova Scotia; in board rooms in Russia and situation rooms at NATO; and in piracy on the high seas. It probes the nature of greed and hubris, contrasts these with friendship and mutual care, and gives the last word to Walt Whitman.

About the author

Ted (Frederick) Leighton O.C. is professor emeritus at the University of Saskatchewan and professeur associé at Université Sainte-Anne. From 1984 to 2015, he was a professor of veterinary pathology at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine and was the founding director of the Canadian Wildlife Health Cooperative. Since retiring from academic science, he has focused on creative writing and local nature conservation projects. He lives in Bear River, Nova Scotia with his partner, the artist Eva McCauley.
