About the author

Craig Barclay, BDS, FDS RCPS, PhD, MPhil, DRD RCS, MRD RCS, FDS RCPS(Rest), is MAHSC Honorary Clinical Professor in the Faculty of Medical and Human Sciences, University of Manchester, UK, where he was Programmer Director for the MSc in Dental Implantology. He is a Consultant in Restorative Dentistry at the University Dental Hospital of Manchester and Associate Postgraduate Dean of Specialist Training with North West Health Education England. Dr. Barclay is a past president of the British Society of Prosthodontics. His special interests include endosseous implant-supported oral rehabilitation with prostheses/dental restorations; 3D computer planning; and specialist preventive dental care for cancer patients. He has maintained significant research activity despite holding a clinically focused post and is the author of almost 50 peer-reviewed publications.
