The aim of this study was to diagnose the final destination given to the empty packaging of agrochemical products used by rural producers around the Epitácio Pessoa-Paraíba public reservoir, as well as to outline the socioeconomic profile of rural producers, identify the use and disposal of agrochemical products, verify the process of collecting empty agrochemical packaging from the representative of the agrochemical manufacturing industries in the state of Paraíba - the National Institute for Processing Empty Packaging - INPEV, investigate the actions of inspection bodies and commercial establishments in relation to the return of empty agrochemical packaging and propose improvements to make the reverse chain of empty agrochemical packaging viable in the area around the Epitácio Pessoa reservoir - Paraíba.
