The book discusses the advances and challenges in the field of Brazilian Environmental Education (EE) in the period between the two major Conferences on Environment and Development promoted by the United Nations (UN) and held in Brazil, Rio-92 and Rio+20, which took place in 1992 and 2012 respectively. The main objective was to analyse the evolution of Brazilian Environmental Education in the period between the two major Conferences, based on the systematization of information from official documents, media reports on the two events and interviews with environmental leaders, politicians and technicians who attended the events and who work prominently in the field of Environmental Education in Brazil.

About the author










Patricia is an educator, an environmental specialist and holds a Master's degree in Sustainability in Environmental Management from the Federal University of São Carlos. She has worked in the fields of environmental education, public policy, water and waste management, climate change and sustainable consumption. She has been involved in environmental struggles since the 80s. She lives in Itu-SP.
