Born and raised in Ukraine, Mariia graduated from the Academy of Design and Arts with a specialization in graphic design. Over time, she became increasingly drawn to calligraphy, fully immersing herself in the world of letters, and exploring historical writing styles, fonts, and the various factors that influence letterforms. Her use of the Cyrillic alphabet, as a Ukrainian, further enriches her experience.

Today, Mariia is deeply passionate about all lettering things and believes that the shape of the letter has the power to convey more than just words.
