This research takes an investigative approach to the situation of risk and social vulnerability of the elderly homeless population in the city of Franca - SP. The aim of the research is to find ways of approaching the situation of social vulnerability of elderly people living on the streets in this municipality. In this investigation, we used bibliographical, documentary and field research carried out at the 'São Giuseppe Moscati' Temporary Shelter, in order to get closer to the reality studied. The method adopted during the research was based on historical-dialectical materialism, with data collected through semi-structured questions. We sought to enrich the theoretical space of the subject studied, and thus contribute to monitoring the different situations of social vulnerability of homeless people, which is one of the expressions of the social question.
