This work denounces the human butchery that the Democratic Republic of Congo will face following the lifting of the moratorium on the death penalty. The reinstatement of the death penalty in the DRC will be an opportunity for Congolese politicians to get rid of their opponents.Through this work, we call for the abolition of the death penalty in Congolese law, as the moratorium on the death penalty already constituted an abolition of the death penalty in fact.We propose a number of measures that the Congolese state should take before reinstating the death penalty, as the lifting of the moratorium is no more than window-dressing.
