The study is based on a personal interest in expanding basic knowledge of educational science. The author's postgraduate training in political education and intercultural competence is to be supplemented with basic knowledge of cultural studies. The sometimes almost inflationary use of the term culture needs to be analyzed. The term "culturalism" was used to draw attention to the dangers of excessive use, with social problems sometimes being re-designated as cultural problems in academic and social discourse. This seems to be more relevant today than ever before. When talking about history, society or politics, this is done in "terms of culture".Processes of differentiation in development sometimes refer to their own culture. In view of the meanings of the words, it should be noted that art and culture are not always based on the same concepts. Art touches on culture where practices require mediation, for example in cultural institutions such as theater, film, concerts, literary institutions, museums, galleries, archives, libraries and historical relics.
