Black Lining Shelter Arcos Minas Gerais - A Cemetery Shelter

This Abrigo do Forro Negro, located in the municipality of Arcos, Minas Gerais, is part of a group of natural cavities in a limestone massif located in the mining area of the Pró-Calcário Ltda company, which was the only natural cavity to show archaeological remains, surprising the team responsible for the work and subsequent analysis, as four human skeletons and two more sets of incomplete bones were found. For this reason, this rock shelter is protected with a 150-meter buffer established around it.

About the author

Sie hat einen Abschluss in Geschichte von der Bundesuniversität Ouro Preto (1995), einen Master und einen Doktortitel in Geschichte von der Bundesuniversität Pernambuco (1998 und 2006), wobei sich sowohl ihr Master als auch ihr Doktortitel auf die Vorgeschichte Brasiliens bezogen. Von 1996 bis 2002 arbeitete sie bei FUMDHAM-Piauí und war als Beraterin in Minas Gerais tätig.
