Youth is a time of discovery and experimentation, but it is also a time of risky behavior. This study examines the risky sexual practices of adolescents and young people aged 15 to 34 in Parakou, Benin. It highlights three critical behaviors: early sexual debut, multi-partnering and non-use of condoms. Based on survey data from 2022, it deconstructs major influences such as age, gender, religion, level of education, and alcohol and drug use.The results reveal that a significant proportion of this population adopts these behaviors, compromising their health and the future of society. This study offers an enlightened look at the challenges of young people's sexuality, and lays the foundations for concrete preventive action, particularly against HIV and other sexually transmitted infections. Essential reading for understanding and taking action on the crucial issues of sexual health.
