The current situation in Somalia regarding the age of marriage and the timing of pregnancies deviates from global standards and recommendations. Child marriages are prevalent, with a significant percentage of women married before the age of 18. The study seeks to address this gap by identifying the factors contributing to early marriages and early childbearing, with the aim of promoting awareness and implementing interventions that can improve reproductive health outcomes. Finally, the study seeks to provide insights into the drivers of early childbearing and contribute to a better understanding of the issue in order to inform policies and interventions aimed at delaying the age of first birth.
