The emergence of delays in construction work in general is directly linked to the failure to fulfil responsibilities and meet deadlines previously set for the imposed activities. As a consequence, the performance of the work decreases, which leads to losses for the organisations involved. As construction companies have become increasingly competitive, they have had to improve their strategies and carry out studies into various aspects related to hiring specialised teams to draw up a good schedule, while focusing on costs and the quality with which the work will be carried out. Therefore, with the aim of studying and analysing the main causes of delays in construction work and how companies deal with this problem, we are interested in developing this study.
