Growth is a beautiful story of a woman finding her strength in her soul when she has every reason to lose hope.

About the author

Julia Tarjan was born in Budapest in 1978, in a family of intellectuals of different cultural heritage. Curiosity towards other ways of living, tolerance and knowing different languages was the basic atmosphere she grew up in.
Julia studied art and languages and worked as a translator for many years. She was particularly interested in the Mediterranean and Middle Eastern world, Italy became her second home and she also spent a year in Yemen studying Arabic and immersing herself in the culture. Coming back to Hungary, she volunteered as an activist for cultural understanding, a task that had become increasingly difficult in the political climate of the country.
She moved to the UK in 2019.
Julia continued her studies in the field of mental health and counselling. Today she writes, raises her children and is healing from cancer.
