E. C. Spary (Editor) E. C. Spary is Professor in the History of Modern Knowledge at the University of Cambridge, and a Fellow of Corpus Christi College, Cambridge. She is a member of the British Society for the History of Science. Previous positions have included a lectureship at the Wellcome Trust Centre for the History of Medicine, University College, London, and a research professorship at the Max-Planck-Institut für Wissenschaftsgeschichte, Berlin, Germany. Her monographs include
Utopia's Garden (2000),
Eating the Enlightenment (2012) and
Feeding France (2014), and she has co-edited several collections of essays, including
Cultures of Natural History (1996).
