Since its inception, aviation has introduced rules and procedures based on the specific needs that arose at each moment. Over the decades, each country developed its own regulations for the operation of aircraft, regardless of the purpose of the flight. Operational criteria differences led to an increase in the rate of aviation accidents, providing the opportunity to establish an international civil aviation regulatory body known as ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization).

After World War I, ICAO assumed a fundamental role in international air operations, bringing together most countries worldwide to establish various operational agreements and annexes- a set of globally standardized rules, regulations, and procedures that remain in effect to this day and form the basis for the development of this work.

All the content of this book is based on the different ICAO documents and annexes related to international aeronautical regulations.
