With the evolution of technology and knowledge, the development of communication networks and digital media has encouraged the use of computer networks for the transmission of medical information. Aware of the importance of this information, data, and in particular medical images, must be protected from falsification. Digital watermarking therefore appears to be the best solution for verifying the integrity of medical images and locating altered areas in the event of fraud. The research contributions presented in this book focus on the development of digital watermarking techniques for verifying the integrity of digital medical images and locating altered areas.A new method of digitally watermarking medical images based on semi-fragile watermarking is also proposed. The principle is to combine the properties of fragile and robust watermarking. This is an intermediate situation in which the tattoo is resistant to a specific set of attacks, but fragile to others.
