About the author
Nació en Madrid en 1961. Hombre de cultura en el más amplio sentido de la palabra, a los cinco años escribió una versión muy personal de Don Quijote y desde entonces la escritura y la música han marcado su vida. En 1989 se fue a vivir a Nueva York donde residió siete años y escribió obras de teatro en inglés, alguna de las cuales llegó a estrenarse allí. Ha escrito poesía pero sobre todo novelas como La música del mundo (1995), El mundo en la Era de Varick (1999), La sombra del pájaro lira (2003), El parque prohibido (2005) y Memorias de un hombre de madera (2009), además del volumen de cuentos El perfume del cardamomo (2008) y la novela La lluvia de los inocentes, publicada en Galaxia Gutenberg en 2012. Colabora habitualmente en ABC Cultural donde escribe una columna titulada 'Comunicados de la tortuga celeste'. Ha sido durante muchos años pianista de jazz. Su novela, Brilla, mar del Edén (Galaxia Gutenberg, 2014), fue galardonada con el Premio Nacional de la Crítica. Sus últimas publicaciones en Galaxia Gutenberg son: La duquesa ciervo (2017), el manual de meditación Construir un alma, la colección de relatos Un maestro de las sensaciones y la novela Nunca preguntes su nombre a un pájaro (2019).
