In this book are applied several correlative microscopy methodologies for analysis of vertebrate cerebellar cortex by means of light microscopy, transmission and scanning electron microscopy, and confocal laser scanning microscopy for studying the cell substructures and histochemistry of nerve and their intrinsic cerebellar circuits and synaptic organization, We have shown by means of confocal laser scanning microscopy the immunoreactivity of rat cerebellar nerve cells for calbindin, synapsin-I, PSD-95, GluR1, CaMKII alpha, and N-cadherin.
