Alzheimer's disease is a pathology that destroys a person's identity through forgetfulness and the loss of various functional capacities. There is still no cure for this disease, but there are ways of promoting socialisation and, to a certain extent, well-being for patients affected by it, especially the elderly. Digital games have been perceived as innovative tools, capable of promoting fun and stimulating memory and cognition through challenges, as well as bringing carers and people suffering from this disease closer together. This book therefore reports on the use of digital games and their benefits for elderly people with Alzheimer's disease.
