About the author

Alison Arnot is an award-winning business owner, trainer and consultant with over 25 years' experience, specialising in PR, internal communication and crisis communication. Based in Glasgow, and working across the UK and beyond, for the past 12 years she has been a trainer in both internal communication and crisis communication for the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) and for clients through her consultancy business Catalyst Communications. She has firsthand experience delivering internal and external crisis communication in a range of different situations, including the 2007 terror attack on Glasgow Airport where she was the first member of the communications team on the scene after the attack took place. Alison is a recognised industry speaker including for The Chartered Institute of Public Relations, Institute of Internal Communications, and CASE.
