In contemporary society, mental well-being is an increasingly relevant issue of concern. Stress, depression and anxiety affect a significant number of people worldwide, impacting their quality of life and daily functioning. Among the groups most susceptible to these conditions are university students, who face a challenging academic environment, life transitions, and increasing pressure to achieve academic and professional success. The aim of this study was to identify the determinants of mental health status in students of the University of Ixtlahuaca and the Catholic University of Colombia. The type of study with which we worked was derogatory, random sampling type, a non-experimental design of transectional or transversal type.High scores were found in each one of the indicators of stress, depression and anxiety, which is why it is necessary to identify the triggering factors of these indicators in order to implement strategies to reduce the symptomatology.
