The aim of this book is to present a discussion about the situation of violence against women that culminates in femicide, relating this offence to education, as well as the impacts of this type of violence. In order to understand what feminicide is, it is necessary to understand what gender violence is, since the crime of feminicide is the extreme, final and fatal expression of the various forms of violence that affect women in societies marked by unequal power between the male and female genders and by discriminatory historical, cultural, economic, political and social constructions. The aim is to stimulate reflection on the subject, highlighting some indicators and raising awareness of the importance of visibility for an issue that is so old, yet still present and incites significant controversy in society, above all marked by severe and negative impacts on women's lives.
