Lesley Epperson, a lifelong writer of stories and songs, has ventured into non-fiction with A Pocket Guide to Self-Love - Simple Steps to Love Yourself More. Her personal journey is documented in the introduction and in the descriptions at the start of each of the twelve chapters. Chapters include processes that are simple to understand. While some of the twenty processes emphasize healing parts of yourself using self-reflection and journaling, others are brief and help build and expand the love you feel for you with ease. It is a book you can read and re-read, refer back to, and integrate into your daily life.
Lesley Epperson has drawn on her own experiences with psychotherapy, creative visualization, deep meditation, and ideas she modified to focus on self-love. She has done the processes, and presents them in the order she would have completed them, had she had A Pocket Guide to Self-Love as a reference.

This little book also includes affirmations for daily use and additional resources for a deeper understanding when the reader is ready to explore more detailed information on the subject of self-love.
This book is for you if you want to know more about self-love, but...

Don't think you can truly love yourself.
Aren't sure you believe self-love will increase your happiness.
Question why having a plan for overwhelm is important for self-love.
Don't believe that loving yourself is valuable for your well-being.
Aren't sure friends and family will respond positively to your authentic self.
You want a simple plan to love yourself or to love yourself more.

Lesley Epperson has combined a great deal of information - concisely written in understandable language - with processes that work and a lot of encouragement. As one reviewer said, "this book is like a warm hug!"

About the author

Lesley Epperson has been reading, writing, playing music, and asking questions since the age of five. Born and raised in Texas, she moved west at the urging of Angels who said, "Go to California and write a book." She lives a simple life on the Northern California coast, where the Pacific Ocean and her trusty companion Khanju demand ocean walks and meditations to calm the soul. Lesley loves hiking in the redwoods, exploring the coastal cliffs, rock hunting, and going on magical adventures. Lesley Epperson is also a transformational life coach specializing in self-discovery and trauma recovery. She continues to question the nature of reality.
