About the author

Justin loved animals from a very young age, ever since his grandfather used to show him slow worms in the back of his garden. He studied Zoology at the University of London. Since graduating in 1996 Justin has worked making wildlife films with the BBC Natural History Unit in Bristol. He was a director / producer on the recent Planet Earth 2 series, which took him from adventures in filming in the Himalaya, to the BAFTAs in London.Manu Montoya is the illustrator of children’s books including Free for You and Me: What Our First Amendment Means by Christy Mihaly; The Mysterious Benedict Society and the Riddle of Ages by Trenton Lee Stewart; and Books Aren’t for Eating by Carlie Sorosiak. Her illustrations for The Bug Hotel were selected as part of the Illustrators Exhibition of the Bologna Children's Book Fair.
