Throughout this book you will find approaches to personal identification characteristics, professional situation and performance, academic background and expectations in relation to the institution to which the course belongs. The music degree programme at UERN is one of the main programmes responsible for training music teachers in the west and upper west of Rio Grande do Norte, covering a large region, including part of the state of Ceará. The course has already trained more than 100 music teachers who are qualified to work in music teaching, especially in the basic education network, which is one of the main focuses of the UERN music course. This book has been organised into five chapters: Introduction, literature review, field of research, methodological challenges for researching graduates and finally the results of the research.

About the author










Anne Valeska Lopes da Costa is a music educator with a degree in Music from UERN and a student on the Master's programme in Teaching (a broad association between UERN, UFERSA and IFRN). She works as an arts teacher in basic education schools in Pau dos Ferros -RN and as a trainer of children's musicalisation classes at the Pauferrense Philharmonic Society.
