Physical exercise has promoted satisfactory responses in the prevention and control of hypertension in elderly hypertensive patients, making it one of the main non-pharmacological therapeutic approaches. The hypotensive effect of physical exercise on blood pressure has the effect of reducing cardiovascular risk factors, leading to lower mortality rates among the elderly. The aim of this book was to describe, through a systematic review of the literature, the ideal type, intensity and duration for post-exercise hypotension to occur in elderly hypertensive patients.
