About the author

Pippa Mattinson is a dog training specialist, author and entrepreneur. She has over 30 years’ experience training dogs and is the author of The Happy Puppy Handbook (2014), The Labrador Handbook (2015) and Choosing the Perfect Puppy (2017).

Best known for her simple step-by-step guides for pet owners, Pippa is the founder of online dog training school Dogsnet. She also launched the UK’s national gundog graded training scheme and is a director of the Gundog Trust.

Pippa has an honours degree in zoology and a special interest in canine behaviour. She is a keen supporter of modern science based dog training methods and is passionate about helping people to enjoy their dogs.
