Pole Pole III" is Sungyull's third poetry collection. He has also authored three other books: "Pole Pole Boong Boong," a chronicle of his coast-to-coast road trip with his wife Changwha; "Pole Pole 50 Short Stories," a collection of concise narratives; and "Pole Pole My Travels," which documents his personal journeys.

The term "Pole Pole" is Swahili for "slow slow" or "take plenty of time," a phrase Sungyull learned from his guide Augustine during his climb of Mount Kilimanjaro. This collection of poems covers a diverse range of subjects, including historical events, Vermont living, friendships, changing seasons, travel, life, memories, and the pandemic.

The most notable feature of this book is Sungyull's line drawings of the churches he visited this spring in Florence, Venice, Bologna, Rome, and Siena, each completed in under two minutes.

Sungyull and his wife Changwha reside in Rupert, Vermont. Their 6.25 Foundation honors fallen American soldiers from the Korean War by donating to elementary school libraries in the soldiers' hometowns. As of June 2024, the foundation has supported 45 schools in 44 states, with Sungyull and Changwha traveling over 60,000 miles to visit these schools.

All proceeds from the sale of this book will go to 625Foundation.org, supporting the foundation's noble cause.
