Becca Garvey's average life has just been upended by her husband's announcement he is moving to Florida to pursue his "dream" of becoming a full-time surf instructor, part-time beach bum. Left solely responsible for their thirty-acre hobby farm in Maryland, Becca is determined to face an uncertain future with optimism.
Becca's brother believes her farm and collection of tamed exotic and domestic pets might be her ticket to financial solvency. If they create a place where families can interact freely with the animals, and also have birthday parties with the animals in costume, Becca might find herself with a profitable venture.
Family and friends pitch in to help. Even Becca's free-spirited daughter and absent-minded mother become part of the endeavor, and even handsome new stranger, Danny Copsey, also seems enthusiastic about Three Notch Safari.
But not all of Becca's neighbors are excited about her vision of a tourist attraction in their quiet, idyllic country setting. One of those busybodies will do anything to stop Becca. When pranks and shenanigans turn harmful and spiteful, Becca must figure out who the culprit is before her life crashes and burns again...this time for good.
