A successful architect, down on his luck and beaten in a lopsided divorce settlement, stumbles across a treasure beyond belief. What would seem to be the cure-all for his woes soon turns out to be his biggest affliction.

Richard Lewis finds himself in a deadly game with Carlo Bartelli, New England crime czar, and rising drug lord, Ricardo Montero. It's a game he may have to forfeit if he can't shake his troubles with the police, Probate Court, the IRS, his ex-wife and her aggressive attorney. Enter Gail. An enigma to the world of celebrities and society, she may just be what Rich needs to turn his life around. Betting that she knows even the Mafia and its players, and bolstered by the new-found confidence she brings, Rich determines to persevere in a plan designed to free him - or kill him.

About the author

Jack Burbank is a businessman, inventor, photographer, and pilot. Having devoured countless novels through endless airports and hotel stays, he has turned his attention to writing his own tales, often set in the New England area he knows so well.
