About the author

Sophie Nelson has experience as a primary school teacher, Teaching School Director, Head of School and currently, as a Senior Lecturer in Primary Education at Leeds Trinity University. She has supported teachers at all stages of their career; sharing her passion for inspiring imaginative and creative classroom practitioners, who empower children to be active citizens who make a positive contribution to the future. Her interest in interdisciplinary learning stems from her wide-ranging interests which encompass philosophy, early literacy, drama of learning, and, of course, climate education.
Lewis Morgan is a Senior Lecturer in Primary Science at Leeds Trinity University. Following 10 years as a primary school teacher and science lead, Lewis delivers the science content across all undergraduate and postgraduate primary education degrees. Lewis is extremely passionate about introducing children to science and changing the beliefs and opinions children, and adults, have about science. Lewis is currently working alongside colleagues from across the university in planning how to embed climate change and sustainability into the primary curriculum.
