In many cases, plant populations are important sources of resources for agriculture, forestry, recreation, and as a refuge for fauna, so their study is a necessary aspect to address. Within the characteristics of plant populations in general, density and distribution are important. The present work constitutes the first demographic study of the species. For the present study, 25 random plots of one hectare each were chosen, for a total of 25 ha sampled. It was found that Gaussia spirituana lives in clustered populations. This result is crucial because clustered distribution is classified as a very successful survival strategy.
