En tiempos convulsos, cuando lo viejo aún no ha desaparecido y lo nuevo no termina de llegar, Pepe Moll de Alba nos invita a la reflexión con una mirada reveladora en la que su obra pictórica, delicada e irónica, se une a un provocador texto poético. En su trabajo se percibe la influencia de la luz -y de sus sombras- y de los lugares en los que ha vivido: desde la claridad de su Barcelona natal y la que baña las Islas Canarias, donde pasó una infancia marcada por el contacto con la naturaleza, hasta la penumbra de Alemania, país en el que se formó como artista, y la luminosidad dorada de Italia, lugar en el que adquirió madurez como pintor. In turbulent times, when the old has not yet disappeared and the new has not yet arrived, Pepe Moll de Alba invites us to reflect with a revealing gaze in which his pictorial work, delicate and ironic, joins a provocative poetic text. In his work we can perceive the influence of light -and its shadows- and the places where he has lived: from the clarity of his native Barcelona and the one that bathes the Canary Islands, where he spent a childhood marked by contact with nature. From the gloominess of Germany, the country where he was trained as an artist to the golden luminosity of Italy, the place where he acquired maturity as a painter. It is in this contrast and tension that he walks, as if he had naturally merged the Tuscan Renaissance with the Bauhaus, connecting by means of invisible bridges with his Atlantic and Mediterranean roots. Everything Pepe Moll de Alba creates is elegant and sensual, but it is in his honesty and audacity that his modernity lies. About the author
Pepe Moll de Alba studied painting in Munich, graphic design and illustration in Stuttgart and finished his artistic training in Rome. He has held exhibitions in Barcelona, Valencia, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Perugia.
