White-lipped pit viper - Trimeresurus albolabris

Trimeresurus albolabris is to me an iconic snake. I have a few specimens of the species at home in my basement and it is a very nice snake to keep in a terrarium. I have also had the privilege of having this species on my snake hook in its natural habitat.The book tries to cover everything about the species, from husbandry to the pit viper's role in the Vietnam War.

About the author

My name is Rickard Ljunggren. I am 49 years old and I have been interested in snakes all my life.
Over the years, I have had a total of more than 200 snakes as pets, of varying species.
I travel to Southeast Asia as often as I can afford to. Nothing beats herping with a headlamp, looking for snakes at night! It is an exciting adventure!

This is my eighth book about snakes (one of the earlier being a Swedish version of this book) and my first attempt at writing in English.
