About the author

FRANKLIN H. SILVERMAN is Professor of Speech Pathology at Marquette University and Clinical Professor of Rehabilitation Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He has written more than a dozen text or professional books including Authoring Books and Materials for Students, Academics, and Professionals (Praeger, 1998) and more than 125 articles in professional journals. He is a past president of the Text and Academic Authors Association and has served as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Speech and Hearing Research.
