JOHN R. BURR is Professor of Philosophy at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. He has authored numerous articles on philosophy and is the editor of the Handbook of World Philosophy: Contemporary Developments Since 1945 (Greenwood Press, 1980).

CHARLOTTE A. BURR is the Reference Librarian at Ripon College. Before becoming a librarian, she was a member of the Music Department faculty at the University of Wisconsin-Superior.
