This work aims to study the power relations between the Burgundy dynasty and Portuguese medieval society between 1096 and 1383, highlighting its contribution to the formation of Portuguese identity in a territory marked by its members' own characteristics; the Christian Reconquest contributed to the strengthening of the monarchy and the realisation of its power in a centralised way.
