The aesthetic culture of a person is a set of such properties as: aesthetic feelings, aesthetic knowledge, taste, judgments, views, aesthetic creativity, aesthetic norms and ideals. This is a rather general definition correlated with the sphere of art, so special importance is given to the role of artistic perception as the ability of the individual "to enliven" and "spiritualize" the products of artistic activity. Consideration of historical and theoretical prerequisites and culturological foundations of the problem of development of aesthetic culture allows a comprehensive consideration of this phenomenon. Art is studied as a material and instrument of artistic and aesthetic development of personality, which in the conditions of the university is carried out in the content of artistic and aesthetic courses, as programs designed for students with different qualifications. Theoretical modeling and technological support represent the main stages of realization of the goal: formation of scientific and theoretical provisions and methodological bases of aesthetic development of a student's personality in the university. It is addressed to university lecturers, postgraduate students.
