About the author
M. Ziya Sogut, Ph.D., is a Full Professor in the Department of Maritime Faculty at Piri Reis University. He received his undergraduate degree from Marmara University in 1988 and his master's and doctorate in Mechanical Engineering from Balıkesir University in 2005 and 2009, respectively. In addition, he continues to work as a Certified Building Energy Manager, UNIDO International Energy Efficiency Expert in Industry, and as a referee for national and international scientific journals. He has managed projects and conducted studies in energy, exergy, exergo-economic analysis and optimization, heat recovery, renewable energies and applications, energy management, cooling technologies and applications, and environmental technologies and research.
Murat Koray, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor at the Department of International Trade and Logistics in Istanbul Kent University and also He is a researcher at Piri Reis University. He is an expert on ship valuation and has studied green technologies, ships,and shipyards related to energy management in maritime transportation management engineering (MTME). Dr. Koray received his undergraduate degree in Electric and Electronic Engineering from the Turkish Naval Academy, an MBA from the Kocaeli University, a master’s in International Affairs and Security Issues from the Naval War College, and his doctorate in Maritime Transportation Management Engineering from Piri Reis University in 1989, 2003, 2006, and 2018 respectively.
