The title "Wreckless in the City" is a humorous play on the words reckless (as in carelessness) and wreck (as in a traffic wreck). The hope is that with the lessons learned in this book, traffic wrecks due to recklessness could be reduced, if not eliminated, on city streets and beyond. Although the guide is primarily for teenage drivers, it is also applicable to all drivers (experienced adults included). Not only will readers learn about safe-driving tips and guidelines, the real science of physics, as it relates to motion, can also be appreciated. If I can get the reader's initial attention through a humorous opening, I will have a chance of retaining the attention through the other critical steps of getting my point across. The goal is to have "wreckless" driving experiences in the city and everywhere else. Auto accidents are the leading cause of death among teenagers, particularly young men. Worldwide records show that every year, almost two million people are killed in road accidents and about 50 million more are seriously injured.
