Though there have been rapid improvements in technology and medical science still the overall cancer incidence is on the rise. The scenario in veterinary field is more disapproving because of the exorbitant cost of therapy. The routine practices are not free from adverse side effects. Thus, the sufferings of cancer affected animals are yet to be ameliorated by safe, efficacious and economical cancer therapy. Better understanding of cancer biology for the development of novel and effective therapeutics has been a matter of concerned since last twenty years and it has focussed on the molecular mechanisms of cell growth control and tumorigenesis.Considering the above facts, the present book is all about to study the synthesis, characterization of macroporus poly (N-isopropyl acryalamide) hydrogel scaffold and control drug delivery monitoring of vincristine and cisplatin from hydrogel scaffolds. The antitumourous effect of vincristine, cisplatin and their hydrogel scaffolds on transmissible venereal tumour in canine. The changes in haemato-biochemical parameters in TVT affected dogs after administration of vincristine sulphate, cisplatin and their hydrogel scaffolds.

The author, Dr. Arun Kumar is working as SUBJECT MATTER SPECIALIST (Veterinary Science) at KVK Chamoli G.B.P.U.A.&T. Pantnagar. He completed his Ph.D. in Veterinary Surgery & Radiology from College of veterinary and animal sciences, Pantnagar. He has a vast experiences in diseases diagnosis and different surgical techniques.
