This paper reflects on the importance of virtual games for teaching maths in the 3rd year of secondary school at the David Aires França Agricultural State School. In this sense, the work was constructed with the aim of showing three virtual games taken from the Só Matemática Portal and the Virtual Interactive Education Network (RIVED) as facilitating tools in the process of teaching and learning maths. These games were chosen according to the content taught by the class teacher and applied to the students. Soon after they were applied, the students answered a questionnaire to collect data. The teacher also completed another questionnaire. The results of the research show that the teaching of mathematics can be streamlined using virtual games, helping to open up new paths for the construction of knowledge and teaching.
