About the author

Min Jiao is Professor of English at the Guangdong University of Foreign Studies and a researcher at the university’s Hermeneutic Research Institute. She has published around 30 articles in Chinese and English. Her major publications include "Mothering and Motherhood: Experience, Ideology and Agency" in Comparative Literature Studies, "Cognitive Mapping of Freedom: Jonathan Franzen’s Freedom" in Neohelicon, "Ideology of Sexuality in Measure for Measure" in Foreign Literature Studies, and "Shakespeare and Econo-literary Criticism" in Theoretical Studies in Literature and Art. Her forthcoming monograph Literary Hermeneutics: Dimensions and Fusion of Horizons is funded by the Chinese National Social Science Foundation.
