About the author
Shrikaant Kulkarni, PhD, currently works as a Research Professor at Sanjivani University, Kopargaon, India, and as an Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Business, Victorian Institute of Technology, Melbourne, Australia. Dr. Kulkarni has been a Senior Academic and Researcher for 42 years. He has published 100+ research papers in national and international journals and conferences of repute. He has edited 50+ books and authored 100+ book chapters in books published by CRC, Springer Nature, Apple Academic Press, Elsevier, Wiley, and IET. He has authored four textbooks on engineering chemistry too. Dr Kulkarni possesses MSc, MPhil, and PhD degrees in Chemistry and Master’s degrees in Economics, Business Management, and Political Science. Two of his patents have been published and two more are applied for grants. He was invited by UNESCO for an invited talk on “Green Chemistry Education for Sustainable Development.
Prof. Cristina Trois is a Full Professor in Environmental Engineering and serves as South African Research Chair in Waste and Climate Change (SARCHI) at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), in Durban. She is also the Chair of the joint secretariat for the Southern Africa Region of UN-IPLA Program (International Partnership for Expanding Waste Management) and the International Waste Working Group for the Southern Arica Region. Prof. Trois has over 20 years of experience in waste management, through designing and delivering multi-million rand/dollars projects in South Africa and across the wider continent. She is the author of over 100 peer-reviewed publications. Her expertise lies in Environmental/Geo-Engineering, Waste and Climate Change, Waste and Resources Management, Renewable Energies, and Climate mitigation.
