The textbook is devoted to theoretical and practical issues of designing energy-efficient buildings, including in the hot, dry climate of Uzbekistan. The stages of development of energy-efficient buildings in foreign countries are covered, the current state of the issue is explored, and problems are identified that impede the widespread implementation of such facilities in domestic practice. The process of functioning of energy-efficient civil buildings is presented as the life cycle of a complex energy system that is in constant interaction with the external and internal environments. A set of issues is being considered to ensure a favorable microclimate in the premises of civil buildings by improving their space-planning solutions and air-conditioning systems, increasing the thermal protection of external enclosing structures. Special attention is paid to the issues of energy audit in buildings as one of the effective measures to increase the level of energy efficiency during the operation of construction projects. Issues of increasing energy efficiency in the transport industry are considered.
