About the author

Robert F.H. Fischer is a full Professor and director of the Institute of Communications Engineering at the Ulm University. He has over twenty-five years of experience in teaching digital communications. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE.Johannes B. Huber is a full Professor at the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg, where he has more than thirty years of teaching experience. Additionally, he regularly is invited by the universities of Klagenfurt and Linz as a guest lecturer. He is Fellow of the IEEE, an ITG Fellow, an Ordinary Member of the Bavarian Academy for Sciences and Humanities, and a Corresponding Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh.
