About the author










Nicholas Boys Smith founded and runs the London-based social enterprise Create Streets, chairs the Office for Place and is an influential writer on the design and history of our towns and cities whose research, writing and presentations have been widely praised.

He read history at Cambridge where he took a double first and an MPhil with distinction. He has lectured internationally, written for the Spectator, Evening Standard, Times, Sunday Times, Telegraph and Guardian, and been interviewed across TV and radio. He is, of course, a Londoner.
