The Lake Chelan Cookbook is a cookbook unlike any other. It offers the broadest and most fascinating look at the culinary world of the Lake Chelan Valley.

The Lake Chelan Cookbook was created by the seventh and eighth graders of the Roots Community School in Lake Chelan. These 12 students interviewed restaurant owners, requested recipes, took thousands of photographs, and marketed the book to the broader community.
