Surgical instrumentation and nursing educational assessment - An influential factor

There is a lack of knowledge of the presence of the state of stress during an educational assessment of skills and knowledge in the field of surgical instrumentation and nursing. By conducting a prospective, observational research with qualitative and quantitative analysis, it was indirectly demonstrated the presence of the state of stress during an evaluation of knowledge and skills of the actual clinical practice, without prior analysis of the psychological traits of the students involved. It is a preliminary study that, nevertheless, puts into discussion the real interference of the stress state during a practical evaluation of competences.

About the author

Doctor graduated from the University of Buenos Aires in 1975, with Doctorates in Medicine and Surgery from the Universities of Córdoba and Buenos Aires, university thoracic surgeon, Professor of Surgery (UBA), and Head of the Department of Surgery at the Hospital de Clínicas de Buenos Aires, with more than 300 publications and 19 awards received.
